What role does the school’s Governing Body fulfil?

The role of the Governing Body is to provide strategic oversight of the school’s effectiveness. Its core functions include the effectiveness of the education provided; the provision of a safe learning environment and the effective use of the school’s financial resources.

The full governing body meets four times every year with committee meetings taking place throughout the year. Governors also make visits to school to observe its work and meet with key staff to discuss outcomes and plans.

No members of staff employed by the school earn over £100 000.

What is a Register of Interests?

A Register of Interests is a record kept, usually by a government body, of financial interests of its members. The register documents interests which may potentially unethically or unlawfully influence members’ official duties.
