What role does the school’s Governing Body fulfil?
The role of the Governing Body is to provide strategic oversight of the school’s effectiveness. Its core functions include the effectiveness of the education provided; the provision of a safe learning environment and the effective use of the school’s financial resources.
The full governing body meets four times every year with committee meetings taking place throughout the year. Governors also make visits to school to observe its work and meet with key staff to discuss outcomes and plans.

The governing body was reconstituted in September 2019 following the school’s change of status from Voluntary Controlled to Voluntary Aided (effective from 1st September 2019).
